The often overlooked road in the Yukon.  The Robert Campbell Highway access to Ross River from Watson Lake.  This highway bypasses Dawson City and is used by many folks heading north to travel the Dempster Highway, eith on the way up or on the way back.

A distance of +-400 kilometers must be travelled between fuel stops so plan accordingly.

This road is used, like most northern roads, by commercial traffic.  Some of the large trucks can take up the better part of the road so use caution.

Accomodations, food and fuel can be found at the small towns of Ross River and Faro.

The Canol Highway crosses the Robert Campbell at the small town of Ross River.  A nice side diversion, the Canol is not to be missed.

From Watson Lake to Faro the road surface is gravel.  From Faro to Carmacks (+-170 km's) the surface is mostly paved.
