Schedule
Day One (August 22nd, 2014)
A 9 am check in process where competitors:
- Sign in
- Complete waiver forms
- Show proof of insurance
- Provide a valid driver’s license
- Provide valid ownership of their bike
- Receive decals that will need to applied to the bikes front and sides of the bike
- Have their bikes go through a scrutineering process to ensure the bike in a safe operating state
- Have their bike inspected for proper equipment (GPS, Road book holder, SPOT, First Aid Kit, Tow rope)
- Receive the practise route GPS files and road book
1 pm
Competitors head out in 5 minute intervals on the 2 hour practise route. This includes a gps liason, a road book special and a liaison to the prologue.
4 pm
Competitors will ride a timed prologue. The results of the prologue dictate the starting order for the next day.
7 pm
GPS files and road books available for pickup at the Organizers tent
8 pm
Riders meeting at the org tent
Day Two (August 23rd, 2014)
First rider leaves base camp on the morning liaison at 4:30 am. Riders will depart in 5 minute intervals.
Day Two consists of 3 special stages
Total mileage for day two will be approximately 750 kilometers.
Nightly riders meeting at the org tent (8pm)
The next day’s road book and gps files will be available in the organization tent after 9 pm.
Day Three (August 24th, 2014)
First rider leaves base camp on the morning liaison at 4:30 am. Riders will depart in 5 minute intervals.
Day Three consists of 2 special stages
Total mileage for day two will be approximately 350 kilometers
Dinner and awards ceremony will begin at 6 pm
